1 Novemeber

So after Dennis had gone it was very quiet for a long time. Then joff cvame back in with a cup of tea and said 'Yours is in the teapot'. Angela gave him a long hard look and after quite along time he said Oh alright and went and brought back two more cups .WE;=ll, one cup and a oplastic thing from the bowling alley which is too hot to hold. He gave th t one to me then said budge up. But there isn't room for three people on the sofa, and he knows that, so he nudgs me quite hard and I spill the hot tea on my hand an jeans. So I have to jump up and yowl and Joff just laugha sand sits in my place. 'Better run it under the etap of you'll have blisters he said. 'Hope you haven't boiled your manhood as well, eh!'. Then he puts his hand on angelas knee and makes k=jokes about me again. But she didn't giggle at all and even pushed his hand off. 'Wosser matter doll? He says 'not like you. Oh come on.. just a little joke. Can't take a k=joke can we?. Well *** you then.' And he picks up a paper from by the side.
Angela gets up and comes to see me in the kitchen part ad looks at my hand. 'Itll be OK she says. It'll be Ok.
'OY! Wot you wishpering about, you two? Eh? Whoat? Ere.. angela, I'm feeling proper peckish as it happens, why dontcha nip out and get us a little takeawy, eh? There's a good girl, and he fishes in his pocket for a fiver. An get yourself something too., eh/.
But angela just looks at him. 'Wossup with you , you dozy ****** cow? I'm offerin, aint' I? Wot is it? Oyh.. I get it… I get it… do you think I'm frightened og that gorilla who'se just sneaked on=ff out of it? Is that it, eh? Is that it?' And he laughed and laughd.

Today is Tuesday and joff has been agditated all day nbut pretends that it is just because he is getting itchy d=feet he says. 'well I've been thini=-king he said when he had his cornflakes and bacon roll 'The thing is I've got this mate in Barnsley who might have little earner going, n=know what I mean. Said I could join his firm any time I like. Quite handy actually. Well, I been thinking about it since I got here and I reckon I could do lot worse. Get me out and aboput bit. See a bito f the world. Yeah, might just do that.'
Angela dint say anything and I ssaid 'How will you get there?' @Oh I ain't decided yet. Justy an ide thought really. Might nip upt trere one of these days though. Bet you''ll miss me, eh? ' and he laughed and poked me in the ribs with his knife. 'And you, you lovely lady'. But she still didn't say anything. Actually I don't think shes said anything to him for two days.
Then he watched television all morning and went out once to the bookies. Then he cam v=beack again and said'Well that wasa bit of luck, eh? Blimey, what a bit of luck! Made bit of a killing round a t Joe's (the bookies). Felt lucky, stuck a peony on Chancer at fourty to one and blow me if the old bleeder dind't vcome home the winner. Loaded! TYou can't keep thios boy downm eh?# And he dived ino his pocket and made a sho of peelingoff a fiver which he chucked at angela. 'There you go doll, get yerself a hairdo. You can't go round looking like a haysyack allyer life.' I kept trying to look at his mioney but he turned away. I don't think there m=was a big fat roll. H was just pretending I think. 'So.. been thinking… sorry to tear mself away, sure you'll agree… but I reckont eh time's come for me to set my sights up North and go and seemy mmate. Now I've got wad I can travel in style, eh? Might even get a taxi! Hoe=w far is it d'you reckon to Barnsley? Fifty ,miles? Hundred? Not a problem. Loaded, mate. Loaed.
Then he went ove to the sofa and picked up his bits of stuff and his v=bag.
'Right, be going then. It's been great seeing you again. The he lit anothere cigarette and just as he turned round to face the door dennis cam in. 'you still here, you ******* little tosser? Let me help ' and he grabbed Joff by his denim jacket and swung him straight off the ground and banged him up itnto the door. 'Get up. Did you ******* hear me? You sack of ****' and grabbed him by the hair in one hand and back of his belt in the either one and hurled him strainght down the stairs. Angela shrieked and I went 'No!! but Dennis just smiled and picked up Joffs bag and unzipped it. 'This your soap? He said 'Yes asid angela. 'And this your zapper?' he said to me. I nodded. Then he took out Joffs two t-shirts and stuck them in his teeth. With a big grunt he riped them right up the back then stuffed them beck in the back and empied the ashtray on top of them./ Then he chucked the bag down the atairs ad well. 'I didn't like him much' he said. Toerag. Hope he wasn't a close friend Frank.? '

anglea tiptioed down the stairas a bit later while Dennis was eating a suadage roll, and she cam back again. ';He's gone' she said. 'I thought you'd killed him Dennis' I said. 'Nah. He said. The skill of being a bouncer is knowing how hard each silly **** will bouince. That how you get the name bouncer. Lovely sausage rolls these. Have another one angela.'
